Budapest Flood by Night, 2009 July 2

There wasn't any thunderstorm as I have predicted, and I had a wonderful walk down to the
Danube which is still very high. Walked in the water - perfect
temperature, I would have loved to go for a swim, except that it is quite
dirty...

Anyway, I was listening to the music from the bar and singing along, just
for myself (All Of Me, The Girl From Ipanema and such) got an awesome foot
massage on the river ballast - is it how you call it, the pebbles?
Na mindegy, hallgattam a zenét a bárból, és csak úgy magamnak énekeltem hozzá (All of me, The girl from Ipanema, és hasonlók), és remek talpmasszázst kaptam a kavicsokon.

Can you see that the tram track is below the water level?
Látod, hogy a villamossín a víz szintje alatt van?

Hi Andrea! These pictures are awesome, even if the situation isn't quite comfortable! It seems there are floods every late spring/early summer in Budapest. Climate changes..

Blogtrotter is anticipating the 4th of July fireworks; but in a different country... ;) Have a great weekend (or vacation, should you have that chance...)!

The Danube is simply an eternal theme, majestic in its own way. (Almost as good as the subway! ;)
